EFI Global is a full-service engineering, environmental, health and safety, and specialty consulting firm with a global reach. We seek a Technical Support Specialist to support proposals, reports, and technical tasks for Project Managers in a fast-paced office environment.

This hybrid role is based in the greater Boston area and requires solid writing skills and environmental industry experience to coordinate interdisciplinary experts and deliver high-quality client materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field preferred.
  • Four (4) years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Licenses as required by role or jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, consultation, and support to EFI Global staff and clients in environmental projects.
  • Plans, develops, and delivers client presentations on project issues.
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary experts required to complete analyses and findings.
  • Guides development of project plans, objectives, methods and processes.
  • Prepares materials for distribution to clients to educate and inform progress.

Seeking a Technical Support Specialist with solid writing skills and environmental industry experience/education to support a fast-paced office with proposals, reports and other technical support for Project Managers and Management.

This hybrid role must be based in the greater Boston area.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To provide professional guidance, consultation, and support to the specialists and experts. Acts as an internal consultant in the coordination and completion of projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides leadership, consultation, and support to EFI Global staff and clients in the completion of environmental projects.
  • Plans, develops, and delivers presentations to clients on various issues relating to the completion of projects.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of project analysis and initiatives.
  • Provides guidance and support EFI Global staff in the development of plans, objectives, methods and processes for the completion of assigned projects.
  • Provides coordination of interdisciplinary experts required to complete the analysis and findings in assigned projects.
  • Deals directly with managers and technical staff in the management and resolution of complex environmental issues associated with assigned projects.
  • Guides and assists in the development of materials for distribution to clients to better educate and inform them of progress in the completion of a project.
  • Serves as a source of professional expertise for the organization on related environmental/RPS topics.
  • Maintains and disseminates a current knowledge and understanding of relevant developments, trends, policies, and emerging issues within the environmental/RPS consulting community.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university. Licenses as required.

Experience

Four (4) years of related and practical work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge of general terms, conditions, nomenclature, etc. associated with the Environmental Services industry.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel (spreadsheet software)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $50,000 - $60,000.
