Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to join our team. This is a part-time position, working 2 days a week from 5pm-1:30am, 1 day a week from 5pm-9pm, with weekends and holidays on a 6/7 rotation from 6am-2:30pm.

You will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment to meet hospital standards, moving furniture and equipment, and ensuring safety and sanitation regulations are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience following hospital cleaning standards and procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Make beds and clean patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness and report issues to supervisor.
• Replenish supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap) as needed.
• Clean all assigned areas including patient rooms, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment.
• Maintain equipment in clean, working condition and report problems.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move furniture, boxes and wash walls or spot carpets as assigned.

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to join our team. This is a part-time position, working 2 days a week from 5pm-1:30am, 1 day a week from 5pm-9pm. Weekends and holidays every 6/7th from 6am-2:30pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices, and equipment, to meet hospital and department standards. This role is crucial in promoting the quality of care rendered in the environment. Responsibilities also include moving equipment, furniture, boxes, and handling blinds and curtains.

Responsibilities:

• Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to ensure an adequate supply.
• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, report problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
