Job summary

Mercy Joplin is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across the healthcare facility, helping ensure infection control standards and regulatory compliance, and promoting a healthy, hygienic environment for patient healing.

This full-time, on-site role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking most shifts, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
