Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II, Environmental & Sustainability to support environmental programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements across air, water, waste, and energy usage at the Queen Creek site.

You will audit processes, participate in ISO 14001 initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help maintain responsible environmental performance while meeting local and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Science.
• 3+ years of experience in environmental reporting, regulatory compliance, or a related function within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with environmental permits and reporting (air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste).
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting or participating in ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform permit application and renewal activities (air, waste, stormwater, wastewater) and related environmental reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of environmental programs (wastewater, hazardous waste, air emissions, stormwater).
• Support ISO 14001 certification efforts and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely and accurate permit submissions.
• Deploy environmental initiatives to improve program and process performance.
• Ensure permits and reports comply with regulations and company standards.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies as needed.
• Provide environmental review and support for site projects and MOC processes.
• Lead and participate in routine audits to support continuous improvement.
