Job summary

Castelion is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead the company-wide environmental function within the EHS organization. You will shape strategy, policies, and management systems, and guide permitting efforts across facilities, operations, and growing sites.

The role requires 10+ years of leadership in environmental programs, deep regulatory knowledge, EMS/ISO 14001 expertise, and strong collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams. Travel between locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership and technical environmental experience supporting complex industrial operations.
• Demonstrated experience developing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) including ISO 14001-aligned programs.
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations governing industrial operations.
• Experience obtaining, maintaining, and managing environmental permits and regulatory compliance programs.
• Experience supporting environmental due diligence for facilities, acquisitions, leases, or expansions.
• Experience managing hazardous waste programs and complex waste streams.
• Ability to interpret environmental regulations into practical, risk-based operational solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and drive environmental initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Willingness to travel between operating locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Castelion's environmental function in support of company growth.
• Establish environmental strategy, governance and EMS aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the primary environmental subject matter expert for leadership and Site EHS Managers.
• Develop environmental performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across locations.
• Build and mentor a scalable environmental organization as the company grows.
