Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years’ experience in environmental investigation/remediation.
• Familiarity with GPS field instruments and processes.
• Ability to record and reduce field notes.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform field work in various weather.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
• Support site investigations and remediation projects under MCP and Rhode Island regulations
• Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil gas samples and assist with drilling oversight and remediation activities
• Support environmental assessments, site inspections, and remediation projects
• Analyze field data, prepare GIS maps and figures, and assist with technical reports and regulatory submittals
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, Licensed Site Professionals, and technical staff on environmental projects
• Maintain accurate field documentation, project records, and quality work products
• Build technical expertise through mentorship and increasing project responsibilities
