Job summary

Aqua PA is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join the Water Quality & Environmental Compliance team. The role focuses on preventing and remediating pollution in company watersheds and groundwater, writing compliance reports, and coordinating with engineers and leadership on regulatory matters.

Responsibilities include field inspections, data collection, and preparing sampling plans, with after-hours or weekend support for spill responses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a science field or an Associate's with relevant experience.
Proven ability to work in environmental, water, or wastewater settings.

Responsibilities

Identify and inspect potential pollution sources in watersheds or groundwater areas.
Monitor watershed health and implement pollution-mitigation activities.
Conduct interviews to inform reports and compliance filings.
Investigate spills and pollution events; coordinate with leaders and agencies.
Take groundwater and streamflow measurements; collect samples for labs.
Prepare routine inspection and compliance reports with maps and records.
Draft compliance letters and compile data for regulatory submissions.
Coordinate with agencies and organizations on water resources information.
Support planning and budgeting for upgrades and compliance programs.
Answer inquiries and assist engineering by processing documents as needed.
