Job summary

Williams is seeking an Environmental Specialist to assess environmental risk, support regulatory compliance, and manage permitting and project execution for energy infrastructure. You will coordinate NEPA reviews, work with federal agencies, and lead cross-functional teams to secure required permits and approvals.

The role spans Environmental Specialist III–V levels, emphasizing permitting strategy, regulatory negotiation, and complex decision-making, with opportunities for growth and mentorship

Qualifications

• Requires: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of environmental experience.
• Experience leading permitting strategies for energy/infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate with federal agencies (BLM, FERC, USFWS) and manage complex regulatory submittals.

Responsibilities

• Develops and improves environmental processes and policies.
• Assesses environmental risk and recommends actions.
• Plans and implements projects, including environmental reviews and documentation.
• Prepares complex applications for environmental clearances and permits.
• Coordinates with partners and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals.
• Leads multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones.
• Mentors others and participates in industry associations.
