Job summary

ConocoPhillips seeks an Environmental Specialist IV to serve as a technical resource for the Exploration team in Alpine, Alaska. The role focuses on guiding field activities and coordinating programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

You will conduct onsite audits, provide waste and water management guidance, assess field activities, and represent the company during agency inspections, building strong relationships with local, state, and federal authorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Alaska environmental compliance experience.
• Experience with spills, waste, water use, land issues and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental guidance related to waste disposal, waste minimization, wildlife, land and water quality as required.
• Identify environmental risks, communicate with HSE, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assess field activities through onsite audits and site visits to validate environmental compliance.

Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off, 12-hour days

Target Start Date: 10/21/26

End Date: 4/18/27

Scope

Serve as a technical resource to the Exploration team by providing guidance and assistance to the field and coordinating programs to validate compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide environmental guidance related to waste disposal and material reuse, waste minimization, wildlife, land, water quality, water use, spill reporting and prevention, and other field environmental issues as required.
• Identify environmental risks, issues, and mitigation strategies, and communicate with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE).
• Assess field activities through onsite audits and site visits to validate environmental compliance.
• Represent ConocoPhillips during agency inspections.
• Maintain contacts and working relationships with local, state, and federal agency personnel.

Education & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Alaska environmental compliance, including spills, waste, water use, drinking water, land issues, permitting, field monitoring/study design, wildlife, and remediation.
