Job summary

Williams is seeking an Environmental Specialist II/III to support greenhouse gas reporting efforts, data gathering, and calculations. You will partner with Field Environmental teams to assess operational changes and ensure compliance with evolving air regulations.

The role involves auditing processes, training staff, and coordinating with engineering and operations on broader environmental initiatives. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of environmental experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years’ environmental experience.
  • Experience with greenhouse gases and air programs is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on environmental processes related to greenhouse gases.
  • Assess environmental risk and determine required regulatory documentation.
  • Prepare and submit emissions reports and inventories for regulatory bodies and trade groups.
  • Conduct environmental training for field staff and partner teams.
  • Assist with compliance reports and documentation for state and federal reporting programs.
  • Research standards for compliance requirements and implement changes.
  • Prepare environmental reports and inventories for regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations on broader environmental initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

As an Environmental Specialist II, you will need functional and technical knowledge and skills in areas of air, specifically greenhouse gases. In this role, you will resolve a range of straight-forward situations as you continue to broaden your capabilities!

As an Environmental Specialist I/II/III (Air Programs) you will support emissions data gathering and calculations to support greenhouse gas reporting programs and emission inventories. You will partner with Field Environmental to understand operational changes and their impact to environmental initiatives. You will stay current with evolving regulations, such as updates to the Clean Air Act, and guide operational adjustments and project execution to ensure compliance. This role involves engagement in auditing processes, training field staff, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams on broader environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Provides guidance on environmental processes/policies related to greenhouse gases
  • Assesses environmental risk; assists in deciding appropriate course of action, including required regulatory documentation
  • Prepares and submits reports to support trade organizations in emissions reporting and reduction efforts
  • Conducts required environmental training to company partners
  • Assists with the preparation of all required compliance reports/certifications and development and maintenance of documentation related to state and federal greenhouse gas reporting programs
  • Researches governmental and industry standards for compliance requirements
  • Prepares environmental reports, plans and inventories for regulatory authorities
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum two (2) years’ environmental experience
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
