Job summary

The Brevard County Natural Resources Management Office seeks an experienced professional to plan, develop, and implement environmentally-related projects within the Save Our Indian River Lagoon program. The position is permanent, full-time, based at the Government Center in Viera, with a 8:00–5:00 schedule, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include preparing progress reports for projects, programs, and grants, reviewing proposals and new technologies for water quality improvements, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental/physical/natural science with two years of environmental experience.
• Must complete any two Brevard County Employee Development Program phases within 15 months.
• Must complete one CEU course related to the field within 12 months.
• Requires valid Florida driver's license prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement environmentally-related projects and programs.
• Prepare progress reports for projects, programs, and grants.
• Review proposals and new technologies for water quality improvements.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies.
