Job summary

Seeds Renewables in Baltimore seeks an Environmental Simulation & Reliability Lab Manager to lead lab operations, staff, and project delivery. You will coordinate testing programs, budgets, and customer relationships to ensure on-time results.

The role requires hands-on oversight of climatic, mechanical, and dynamic tests, adherence to ASTM/IEC/MIL-STD standards, ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, and collaboration with Eurofins labs for integrated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Environmental Simulation & Reliability Lab, including staff leadership, budgeting, and project coordination.
• Oversee RFQ intake, quoting with National Sales Team, and maintain customer relationships across the full commercial book of business.
• Direct hands-on execution and oversight of climatic, mechanical, and dynamic testing (thermal, vibration, shock, humidity, altitude, combined environments).
• Manage lab engineers and technicians, directing development, performance, and daily tasks.
• Develop and review test plans/procedures to meet ASTM, IEC, MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160, customer specs, and internal protocols.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation compliance, audits, calibration programs, and equipment maintenance.
• Lead CAPEX proposals and equipment roadmap to support growth and reliability.
• Grow Military, Defense, and Aerospace verticals with regional sales and new service offerings.
• Provide technical sales support including proposals, site visits, and program pursuits with prime contractors and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Collaborate with Eurofins labs to deliver integrated testing solutions and share best practices.

Environmental Simulation & Reliability Lab Manager & Duties Include but are not Limited to the Following:

• Full operation of the Environmental Simulation and Reliability Lab, including technical staff leadership, revenue and budget performance, project coordination, and on-time delivery.
• Daily scheduling, RFQ intake and quoting from the National Sales Team, and customer relationships across the full commercial book of business.
• Hands-on execution and oversight of climatic, mechanical, and dynamic testing, including thermal, vibration, shock, humidity, altitude, and combined environments.
• Direct management of lab engineers and technicians, owning their daily direction, development, and performance.
• Development and review of test plans and procedures to ASTM, IEC, MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160, customer specifications, and internal protocols.
• ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation compliance, internal audits, calibration programs, and equipment maintenance.
• CAPEX proposals and the equipment roadmap to support capability growth and operational reliability.
• Growth of the Military, Defense, and Aerospace vertical alongside the regional sales team, including new and reinstated service offerings.
• Technical sales support, including proposals, customer site visits, and program pursuits with prime contractors and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Collaboration with Eurofins labs across the network to deliver integrated testing solutions and share best practices.
