Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a sanitary, safe hospital environment and support patient wellbeing. You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, handle trash removal, and ensure equipment sanitation according to policy.

Responsibilities include maintaining floor care standards, restocking supplies, and supporting a clean, comfortable environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• No degree required; strong work ethic is essential.
• Ability to think critically and communicate effectively in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy hospital environment.
• Healthcare or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Summary:

Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility.

Responsibilities:

May be responsible for maintaining a consistent floor care program according to outlined policies and procedures. Performs other environmental services duties as needed. Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces. Ensures proper sanitation of medical equipment as required. Replenish supplies and/or linen in patient rooms as necessary or designated. Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
