Job summary

Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is seeking an Environmental Service worker to join our night shift team. This part-time role (0.6 FTE) supports a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment, with hours from 11:00pm to 7:00am and a nights with weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include performing heavy cleaning tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and following step-based cleaning procedures to maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Environmental Service or healthcare setting desirable.
• Ability to read safety instructions and chemical labels.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or GED

Experience

• Prior Environmental Service experience and/or experience working in a health care facility and/or using janitorial equipment desirable

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Must have sufficient reading ability to read safety instructions and chemical product labels
