Freeman Health System is seeking a full-time housekeeping professional to maintain sterile, safe patient rooms, surgical areas, and common spaces in a hospital setting. You will follow infection control procedures, handle waste, restock supplies, and operate cleaning equipment with care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work as part of a dedicated team while adhering to PPE protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical areas, and common spaces
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures (including isolation protocols)
• Dispose of regular and biohazard waste according to policies
• Clean high-touch surfaces (bed rails, doorknobs, equipment)
• Restock supplies such as linens, gloves, and PPE
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (floor machines, vacuums, etc.)
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Respond to spills and emergency cleaning requests

Schedule

Full-time | 40 hours per week

What You\'ll Do

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical areas, and common spaces

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25-50 pounds

Work Environment

Work is performed in a hospital setting with exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and infectious materials. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

• Follow PPE protocols and hand hygiene requirements
