Job summary

Kettering Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Worker II for the Kettering Health Main Campus on the third shift. You will clean, perform floor care, and manage waste to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in a healthcare setting.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience considered. Experience in environmental services or custodial work is helpful. DOT certification is required annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider candidates with relevant experience in lieu of diploma.
• Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial work in a healthcare or similar setting preferred; typically 1-3 months or more.
• Annual DOT certification.

The Environmental Services Worker II plays a vital role in supporting patient care and safety by ensuring a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for performing cleaning, floor care, and waste management tasks in accordance with infection control and safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider candidates with relevant experience in lieu of diploma.Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial work in a healthcare or similar setting preferred; typically 1-3 months or more.Annual DOT certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, extractors) and hospital cleaning protocols preferred. Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or similar certification preferred.
