Job summary

The Legacy Rehab & Care Center in Bullhead City, AZ seeks an Environmental Services Worker to maintain clean and safe living areas for residents. You’ll handle sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, linen handling, and waste management in a healthcare environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, healthcare cleaning experience (6 months preferred), CPR certification, and the ability to obtain a DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card. Join a team focused on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in environmental services, preferably a healthcare facility.
• 6 months of professional cleaning experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Physically able to stand and move during shift; can twist, bend and kneel.
• Able to carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work with chemicals, infectious waste, diseases and communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Sweep outdoor entryways and remove debris.
• Perform floor care with sweeping and mopping to maintain cleanliness.
• Wipe surfaces such as countertops and desks with care.
• Collect and launder soiled linens.
• Clean bathrooms and resident rooms to ensure sanitation.
• Handle waste safely following infection control protocols.
• Empty trash and restock supplies.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly.

Essential Job Functions

• Commandeer the outdoors, sweeping away any unwelcome debris at entryways.
• Embrace the skill of floor care, sweeping and mopping your way to a sparkling environment.
• Conquer surfaces, wiping down countertops, desks, and other areas with precision.
• Gather and launder soiled linens.
• Dive into the challenge of creating sanitary and infection-free realms by cleaning bathrooms and resident rooms.
• Fearlessly handle human waste and bodily fluids, following the rules of infection control and sanitation.
• Empty trash containers, ensuring no remnants of chaos linger.
• Replenish supplies, restocking linens and other necessities.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment in its rightful place.

Requirements and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in environmental services, preferably a healthcare facility
• 6 months of professional cleaning experience preferred
• Obtain and maintain
• CPR certification
• Ability to obtain and maintainDPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to twist, bend and kneel through shift; able to pick up debris from the floor
• Must be able to work with chemicals, infectious waste, diseases and communicable diseases.
• Regularly required to talk, hear and read.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds
