Description

This role involves cleaning hospital patient rooms, laboratories, offices, halls, and other areas by performing various duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Washing beds, mattresses, and remaking beds after patient dismissal.
• Keeping utility and storage rooms clean and organized.
• Distributing laundered linens and articles.
• Replacing soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
• Disinfecting equipment and supplies.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusting furniture and equipment.
• Polishing metalwork.
• Washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Cleaning windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empting wastebaskets and transporting trash to disposal areas.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
