Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Environmental Service Technician at Taylor Hospital to clean and disinfect patient areas and maintain floors, carpets and upholstery. You will remove medical waste, linens and trash, and support a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Training is provided with opportunities to learn new skills. The role is part-time with rotating days and variable hours, supporting a collaborative team in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and stock patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance to floors, carpets and upholstery.
• Assemble, maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of services.
• Report general maintenance and specialized cleaning needs in the work area.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital.
• May work across department sites for coverage and business needs.
