Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Environmental Services Department, Festus, MO. Full-Time 40 hours/week with Day, Evening, and Night shifts; rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Experience in hospital environmental services preferred and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs and move around the hospital during shifts.

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Education: Although a high school diploma or GED is preferred, we are pleased to offer comprehensive on-the-job training to support your success at Mercy.
• Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience preferred. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks preferred. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • This role involves frequent movement throughout the hospital during the majority of the shift.
  • Flexibility and physical stamina are essential.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support departmental operation.
