Job: EVS Specialist

Location: W&B - 690 Good Drive

Hours: Part-time - Evenings, 10:00pm-6:30am (1 day per week), Mon-Fri, EOW

Summary:

  • Under the direction of the Manager, Administrative Supervisor, the Maintenance Housekeeper maintains the hospital and hospital-owned properties, refinishing, scrubbing floors, shampooing, bonnetting carpet and furniture, and performing routine housekeeping functions.
  • This includes all major housekeeping projects, moves, and individual requests.
  • Qualified individuals must be able to perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Clean all environmental surfaces including furniture, beds, bathroom fixtures, window sills, door frames, vents, televisions, walls, cove base, light fixtures, and windows following universal precautions.
  • Refinish floors, including machine scrubbing and floor stripping, and apply floor finish.
  • Wear and respond to pager for routine requests.
  • Shampoo furniture and bonnet extract carpet as necessary.
  • Possess a working knowledge of universal precautions, MSDS, and recycling operations, and apply as necessary.
  • Dispose of, transfer, or store hospital furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Remove, wash, and rehang cubicle curtains, shower curtains, and window treatments.
  • Dry and wet mop rooms, hallways, stairs, bathrooms, and offices.
  • Additional duties include gathering and disposing of refuse and soiled linen following universal precautions, maintaining hospital property and equipment, and reporting repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Credentials and education or equivalent experience are required.
