Job summary

The United Cerebral Palsy Association Of Greater Cleveland is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities worker to clean and maintain our Main Office facilities in Cleveland, OH, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires independence and physical stamina to stand for long periods, with winter snow removal duties. Pay is $18.00–$19.00 per hour, and the position involves light maintenance and room setup support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of floor equipment and cleaning supplies/materials.
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with two or fewer moving violations.
• Be able to stand and bend for 8 hours, climb stairs and ladders and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Sufficient eyesight and hearing to ensure areas are clean and to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean windows, floors, woodwork, ceilings, and walls.
• Clean public areas including restrooms, classrooms, treatment rooms, production areas, storage areas, lunchrooms, and offices.
• Receive and store supplies.
• Perform floor care and equipment maintenance (buffing, stripping, carpet cleaning).
• Make deliveries.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Set up rooms for functions and meetings.
• Assist with winter snow removal and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Paint and repair walls when necessary.
• Perform minor carpentry tasks.
• Minor maintenance on agency vehicles.
• Assist with light maintenance (electrical, painting, plumbing, small appliances).
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, clean and maintain UCP’s facilities in a manner to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients, visitors, and staff members. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• 1. Maintain and clean windows, floors, woodwork, ceilings, and walls.
• 2. Maintain and clean public areas, including restrooms, classrooms, treatment rooms, production areas, storage areas, lunchrooms, and offices by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, dusting, polishing, waxing, and removing trash.
• 3. Receive and store necessary supplies.
• 4. Perform floor care and equipment (buffing, stripping, carpet cleaning).
• 5. Make deliveries.
• 6. Respond to emergencies.
• 7. Set up rooms for functions and meetings.
• 8. Assist in maintaining facility grounds by picking up trash, cleaning, and clearing walks and driveways and removing snow (using snowplow truck, snow blower, shovel, and salt distributor.) Must be flexible with hours in wintertime to accommodate snow removal.
• 9. Paint and repair walls when necessary.
• 10. Perform minor carpentry tasks.
• 11. Minor maintenance on Agency vehicles.
• 12. Minor maintenance to adaptive equipment and wheelchairs as needed.
• 13. Assist with light maintenance (electrical, painting, plumbing, small appliances, agency vehicles, etc.) as assigned.
• 14. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
