Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Full-time Environmental Services Technician I (Housekeeper) in Virginia Beach, VA for the Day shift. Responsibilities include cleaning patient areas, responding to spills, and maintaining a sanitary environment in line with infection prevention standards.

Eligible candidates typically have a High School diploma or GED and 1 year of housekeeping experience; experience in a medical setting and strong customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent is required.
• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical environment strongly preferred.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in clean and sanitary condition.
• Perform dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.
• Follow safety and infection prevention guidelines.
• Handle waste according to regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to spills and cleaning needs.
