Job summary

Halifax Regional Hospital, Inc. seeks a Part-time Environmental Services Technician for the first shift.

The role focuses on cleaning patient rooms, hallways, and spills, with duties including linen inventory and replenishment, damp dusting, mopping, and polishing in a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (or relevant experience) and prior cleaning or housekeeping experience, with strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or GED required; or experience in lieu of education.
• Preferred: previous cleaning experience and exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work around patients and maintain cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean patients' rooms, hallways, and spills.
• Perform damp dusting, mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing.
• Maintain assigned area in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Adhere to safety standards and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with linen inventory and replenishment as part of duties.
