Job summary

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (PRN). The role supports linen inventory, cleaning patient rooms and hallways, and cross-training across departments.

Training on first shift (7:00-3:30pm) is available; may work 1st/2nd shifts. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (experience in cleaning welcomed); good customer service and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or GED; experience may substitute
• Preferred: previous cleaning experience and exceptional customer service
• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School/GED Diploma

Responsibilities

• Linen inventory and replenishment for assigned areas.
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Practice safe cleaning using chemicals and equipment (damp dusting, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, polishing).
• Adheres to waste collection and transport regulations.
• Primary duties include cleaning patients' rooms, hallways and spills; teamwork emphasized.
• Cross-train in other areas as available.
