Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across the healthcare facility to ensure infection control standards and regulatory requirements are met. This role promotes a healthy environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Preferred qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent; prior hospital environmental service experience and customer service experience are advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: None.
• Experience: None.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
