The University of Miami Hospital (UTower) seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly environment. This full-time role ensures adherence to established cleaning methods, safety standards, and hospital policies while supporting equipment upkeep and supply organization.

You will work independently or with others in a clinical setting, following instructions and communicating effectively to protect patient care and comfort.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year housekeeping experience in healthcare or hotel/motel sanitation.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Effective written and oral communication.

• Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals approved by management.
• Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information.

• Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

The University of Miami Hospital (UTower) has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Technician – Full Time (U) in the Environmental Services Department. The Environmental Services Technician performs cleaning functions to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly condition throughout the facility.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Follows established cleaning methods and procedures in performing cleaning duties.
2. Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals that have been approved by management.
3. Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information.
4. Reports areas in need of special cleaning or repairs to appropriate supervisor.
5. Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies.
6. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• In lieu of education: One-year experience as a housekeeper in the hotel/ motel commercial/ industrial sanitation or health care related field.
