Mercy Hospital Perry in Perryville, MO is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the Evening Shift. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitation across the facility to uphold infection control standards and provide a safe healing environment.
Preferred candidates have a High School diploma and prior hospital environmental service experience, plus ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.
The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.
Preferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.
Physical Requirements: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
