Job summary

Providence Swedish Cherry Hill is seeking dedicated environmental services staff to maintain the hospital’s highest level of cleanliness and infection control in patient, staff, and visitor areas.

You will demonstrate proficiency in basic and advanced cleaning techniques, stocking supplies, and supporting multiple departments including Surgery, NICU, ER, and Labor & Delivery on assigned shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Preferred: vocational training or certification.
• 1 year housekeeping or janitorial/custodial experience in healthcare/long-term care or hotel setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced cleaning techniques across patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical or visitor areas.
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment in patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical or visitor areas.
• Work in areas requiring advanced cleaning techniques such as Surgery, Labor & Delivery, NICU, Emergency Room, and Floorcare.
• Ensure infection control standards are followed and assist with housekeeping duties as needed.

This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint. This position is responsible for continuously demonstrating proficiency in both basic and more complex or advanced cleaning techniques and supply stocking that would be used in patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical or visitor areas. Able to demonstrate proficiency in ability to work in areas that require advanced cleaning techniques such as Surgery, Labor & Delivery, NICU, Emergency Room (on shifts/situations, campuses where caregivers work in multiple areas) and Floorcare.
