Overview

Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician to work 40 hours per week at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, sweeping, scrubbing, refinishing floors, vacuuming, shampooing carpet, restocking restrooms, replacing light bulbs, and reporting repairs.
  • Assists with outdoor cleaning activities such as parking lot, windows, and roof, including ladder work.
  • Handles cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers, and finishes safely.
  • Removes waste, including soiled linen, trash, sharps, hazardous waste, and recyclables.
  • Maintains equipment cleanliness and reports issues.
  • Ensures safety and quality standards are met, complies with infection control guidelines, and attends training sessions.
  • Demonstrates punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, operate equipment, and work cooperatively with team members.
Work Environment
  • Repetitive, fast-paced work in various areas including contaminated, isolation, construction, and renovation zones.
  • Occasional work in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells.
  • Exposure to individuals with diverse health and mental conditions.
