Advocate Health seeks a full-time Environmental Services Technician to maintain clean, safe medical facilities for staff and visitors. The role includes comprehensive cleaning, waste handling, and replenishing supplies in a fast-paced environment.

You will work indoors predominantly with exposure to cleaning chemicals, and may assist with outdoor tasks. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and timely performance as part of a larger healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Preferred : High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred : One year experience
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Responsibilities

• Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, washing windows and walls
• Sweep, scrub and refinishing floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets
• Restock restrooms and replace light bulbs
• Report repairs and equipment failures to maintenance staff
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with infection control guidelines
• Attend required in-service education and training classes
