Job summary

Avem Health Partners seeks a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to maintain cleanliness of the facility, patient rooms and common areas, ensuring high quality standards and timely preparation of rooms for admissions and discharges.

The role covers routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices and common areas, adherence to infection prevention practices, proper use of chemicals and equipment, and collaboration with staff to support a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-year experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Maintains and adheres to housekeeping detail standards.
• Follows all infection prevention and control practices.
• Works day, evening or night shift as assigned.
• Observes safety precautions at all times.
• Removes soiled linen.
• Delivers and unloads clean linens.
• Sets up meeting rooms as needed.
• Other duties as requested.

Education
