Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing, washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, sweeping, scrubbing, refinishing floors, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, restocking restrooms, replacing light bulbs, and reporting repairs. May assist with outdoor cleaning activities, including parking lot, windows, and roof, sometimes using a ladder.
- Handles cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, floor strippers, and finishes with proper safety measures.
- Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash and sharps containers, transporting waste to compactors, recycling, and emptying cigarette receptacles.
- Keeps equipment clean and reports mechanical issues to maintenance.
- Maintains a safe work environment, complies with procedures and infection control guidelines, and meets quality standards.
- Attends all required training sessions, including safety updates, to maintain technical knowledge.
- Demonstrates ability to meet schedules and deadlines consistently.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: High School diploma or GED
- Preferred: One year of experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks and operate equipment
- Ability to establish cooperative working relationships
Work Environment:
- Repetitive work following set procedures
- Fast-paced and potentially stressful environment
- Work in contaminated, isolation, construction, and renovation areas
- Occasional work in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant odors
- Exposure to individuals with various health conditions
