Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors.

The successful candidate will perform comprehensive cleaning of assigned areas, handle cleaning chemicals, manage waste, and maintain a safe, clean workplace in a hospital environment. Opportunities include tuition assistance, wellness incentives, parental leave, and health benefits.

Competenze

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent

Mansioni

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting/sanitizing of furniture and fixtures; washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures; sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpet; restocking restrooms; replacing light bulbs; reporting repairs.
• Handles cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.
• Removes waste by collecting/transporting soiled linen, emptying trash, changing sharps containers, transporting waste to compactors, recycling, emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports failures to maintenance staff.
• Maintains safe working environment by following procedures, infection control guidelines, and quality standards.
• Attends required in-service education and training including safety updates to maintain knowledge.
• Meets time schedules and deadlines.

Position Highlights:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

1. 1.Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas to include, but not limited to:
   • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures
   • Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures
   • Sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors
   • Vacuuming and shampooing carpet
   • Re-stocking restrooms
   • Replacing light bulbs
   • Reporting repairs
2. 2.Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.
3. 3.Removes waste by:
   • Collecting and transporting soiled linen
   • Emptying trash containers
   • Changing sharps containers
   • Transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors
   • Recycling material
   • Emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas
4. 4.Keeps equipment clean and orderly and reports equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
5. 5.Maintains safe working environment and provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards.
6. 6.Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge.
7. 7.Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
