Job summary

Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, TX is seeking a full-time cleaner responsible for terminal cleaning and room turnover in the operating rooms and procedure rooms, and for maintaining the Surgical Department according to policies and SDS.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and at least one year of industrial cleaning experience; basic computer skills are a plus.

The position rotates including nights and weekends and requires contact with Human Resources for application.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in industrial cleaning.
• Knowledge of housekeeping practices and surgical fire risks; basic computer skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain terminal cleaning and room turnover in operating rooms and procedure rooms.

• Collaborate with Health Care team to ensure patient safety and cleanliness.

GENERAL

This position has overall responsibility for the terminal cleaning and room turnover in the operating rooms and procedure rooms as well as maintaining the entire Surgical Department by utilizing the department policies and procedures as well as the SDS.

Education

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Minimum of one year of experience in industrial cleaning (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of housekeeping; aware of surgical fire risks and understand the role of the Surgical Services team in preventing and responding to surgical fires; basic computer skills a plus
