Job description

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is hiring an Environmental Services Tech III to handle Floor Care. This is a full-time, day shift position with rotating weekends.

Hours

• Monday - Friday: 7am - 3:30pm

• Rotating Weekends

Overview

Responsible for the maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment, and cleaning applications, including mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing. Cross-trained to EST I competencies to provide cleaning duties when necessary.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. One year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education.

Experience

• Previous housekeeping/ESD experience (Required)

• Experience with floor care, including stripping and recoating floors using proper equipment, and basic knowledge of operating a floor scrubber and side-by-side machine for scrubbing or stripping floors, as well as applying wax to refinish floors.
