Environmental Services Tech / Full Time / Evenings
The Environmental Services Tech ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility by performing high quality cleaning, disinfection, and environmental maintenance tasks. This role supports infection prevention efforts, enhances the comfort and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors, and contributes to the overall operational efficiency of the organization. Through consistent cleaning practices, proper handling of linens and waste, and safe operation of equipment and chemicals, the technician helps maintain a healthy environment that meets regulatory, safety, and organizational standards. Essential Functions
- Perform daily and scheduled deep cleaning of assigned areas, including floors, surfaces, walls, windows, stairwells, elevators, and baseboards to maintain a sanitary and orderly environment.
- Clean and service restrooms by disinfecting all fixtures and surfaces and replenishing required supplies to ensure consistent hygiene standards.
- Collect and dispose of trash and linens safely, transporting carts to designated areas and following proper handling procedures to support infection‑control practices.
- Operate cleaning equipment and chemical solutions safely, including floor machines, vacuums, extractors, and germicidal products, to complete tasks such as scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, and carpet or furniture extraction.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of furniture, equipment, blinds, vents, and horizontal surfaces by dusting, disinfecting, and performing discharge or terminal cleaning as required.
- Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
- Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
