Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, Colorado is seeking a patient- and public-area cleaner to maintain cleanliness and infection control standards across the facility. You will use Bed Management systems with handheld devices to track bed throughput and ensure safe, sterile environments.

The role requires high school completion, strong English skills, and basic computer literacy. Prior experience in healthcare or medical offices is preferred, with CNA certification a plus.

Job Description:

Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces. Demonstrates complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment. Documents all work performed. Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated. Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up. Accesses ancillary units, restrooms, offices in assigned areas. Cleans and disinfects areas containing bodily fluids in accordance with facility standards. Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste. Other duties as assigned. Utilizes equipment that includes cleaning/trash cart, and other janitorial supplies. Utilizes Bed Management system to maintain productive flow of bed throughput, using hand-held technology for tracking.

• Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets, product labels, various reports, and perform simple arithmetic [Required]
• Full knowledge of basic environmental duties [Required]
• Understanding of medical terminology, ICD-9/10, and CPT-4 coding [Required]
