Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Assistant Director of Environmental Services. The role involves partnering with the Environmental Director to oversee housekeeping, laundry and maintenance operations, staffing, supply ordering and regulatory adherence.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, English communication skills, and experience in long-term care maintenance. The position requires on-site work in Waterloo, IA with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience and ability to supervise others.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must complete facility orientation, mandatory training and in-service programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and assists with cleaning and maintenance of facility interiors and grounds.
• Develops schedules and ensures adequate coverage for housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.
• Coordinates with Administrator and Environmental Director and participates in safety and compliance activities.
• Maintains records, budgets, inventories and performance evaluations as needed.
