AdventHealth Port Charlotte is seeking a Night Shift supervisor in Environmental Services to transport hazardous waste, enforce safety protocols, and support departmental goals. This role requires leadership experience, basic computer skills, and ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities include scheduling, staff supervision, maintaining SDS documentation, ensuring clean linen distribution, and adherence to policies.

Formación

• 1+ leadership/management experience
• 2+ technical experience
• English communication required
• High School Diploma required

Responsabilidades

• Transports hazardous waste from generation to storage following protocols.
• Attends required safety training programs and adheres to safety responsibilities.
• Promotes effective working relations and collaborates with team members to meet departmental goals.
• Supervises staff by assigning work, training, evaluating performance, and recommending disciplinary actions or terminations.
• Creates and reviews schedules, approving scheduling requests to ensure adequate staffing.
• Documents all work performed, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Surveys departmental procedures regularly to ensure adherence to acceptable cleaning practices.
• Resolves patient satisfaction concerns promptly.
• Manages the distribution and accountability of clean linen supplies.
• Reviews and updates policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Coordinates and supervises the maintenance of areas to high standards.
• Provides supplies to designated areas as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Transports hazardous waste from the point of generation to a secure storage area, following proper handling and transport protocols.
• Attends required safety training programs and adheres to job-related safety responsibilities.
• Promotes effective working relations and collaborates with team members to meet departmental goals.
• Supervises staff by assigning work, training, evaluating performance, and recommending disciplinary actions or terminations as appropriate.
• Creates and reviews schedules, approving scheduling requests to ensure adequate staffing.
• Documents all work performed, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Surveys departmental procedures regularly to ensure adherence to acceptable cleaning practices.
• Resolves patient satisfaction concerns promptly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field [Required]
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition [Required]
• Able to communicate in English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ leadership/management experience [Preferred]
• 2+ technical experience [Required]

Pay Range:

$17.80 - $62,795.20
