Job summary

Cleveland Clinic on the Main Campus is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead a team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment. The role supervises daily operations, trains staff, schedules PTO, and ensures quality cleaning across units while aligning with patient care standards.

You will work Monday through Friday 6:00am–4:00pm with rotational weekends and holidays; strong leadership and communication are essential, with a high school diploma or GED required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager, or one year of supervisor experience in a related field OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department.
• Act as a technical resource for team members.
• Implement goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units.
• Provide effective utilization of personnel, policies, and procedures in order to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
• Supervise caregivers in daily operations and evaluate performance.
• Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality of cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain staffing levels.
• Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
• Ensure cross coverage.
• Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
• Improve procedures and processes.
• Analyze workflow and procedures.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.

A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday, from 6:00am to 4:00pm with rotational full weekends and holiday requirements.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager, or one year of supervisor experience in a related field OR a bachelor’s degree.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
• Ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $43,200.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $65,880.00
