The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining compliance with OSHA and infection control standards, and ensuring quality control in all environmental services activities.
Supervise daily housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Train and orient new employees on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, and equipment use.
Monitor workflow and quality of cleaning through daily facility tours and checklists.
Issue and track supplies, maintain accurate records, and report equipment repairs promptly.
Provide in-service training and assist with performance evaluations and staff counseling.
Leadership & Supervision - Ability to guide, train, and motivate staff effectively.
Safety & Compliance - Knowledge of OSHA regulations, infection control, and chemical safety.
Communication Skills - Clear and professional interaction with staff, patients, and management.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making - Ability to resolve issues, manage grievances, and maintain workflow efficiency.
Attention to Detail & Quality Control - Ensuring cleanliness standards and proper documentation.
High graduate or GED.
Knowledge of institutional housekeeping techniques with at least three years of experience, supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.
Ability to maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation.
CHEST certification
Ability to maintain confidentially and good public relations.
Demonstrates ability to provide clear expectations to department personnel.
Displays professional appearance and attitude.
Ability to work with management members.
