Job Details

Position: EVS Specialist

Hours: Full-Time, Mon-Fri, EOW 7:30am-4:00pm

Location: Lancaster General Hospital, 555 N Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital and hospital-owned properties, including refinishing, scrubbing floors, shampooing, bonnetting carpet, furniture, and performing routine housekeeping functions.
• Clean all environmental surfaces following universal precautions.
• Refinish floors, including machine scrubbing and applying floor finish.
• Respond to routine requests via pager.
• Shampoo furniture and extract carpet as necessary.
• Possess knowledge of universal precautions, MSDS, and recycling operations.
• Dispose of, transfer, or store hospital furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Remove, wash, and rehang curtains and window treatments.
• Clean rooms, hallways, stairs, bathrooms, and offices.
• Perform secondary duties such as waste disposal, maintaining property and equipment, and reporting repairs.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• 1 year of experience in healthcare housekeeping (preferred)
• 1 year of experience operating housekeeping equipment (preferred)
