Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Shift Supervisor to oversee EVS staff and ensure areas are cleaned to required quality and safety standards. The role includes equipment care, supply control, staff counseling, and staffing decisions for adequate shift coverage.

The position requires at least one year in Environmental Services or healthcare, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of Environmental Services and/or healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned Environmental Services teams; complete performance reviews and administer corrective action.
• Conduct autonomous and administrative inspections on a regular basis.
• Understand Bed Management programs to facilitate timely patient flow and monitor bed turnaround times.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and troubleshoot problems.
• Review schedules and call-ins to allocate staffing resources effectively.
• Lead daily shift huddles to communicate issues and changes to staff.
• Participate in in-services and training; disseminate information to the department.
• Compile maintenance work orders for reporting to Engineering daily.
