Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a chance to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen weeks and includes:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from managers and staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety guidelines, and report issues promptly.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to paging systems.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG professionally, ensuring positive interactions.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to operate independently without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside within the service area.
