Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. This interactive program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and combines hands-on and computer-based training. The program covers various aspects of managing your own account, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating and teaching others to operate industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership and support to ensure quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service expectations are met, adhering to all applicable standards and policies.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format for management.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including conducting facility assessments using QCIs.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, handle cleaning solutions safely, report equipment needs, and follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Demonstrate positive, tactful interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to work independently without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks continuously and work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside in the service area.
