Job summary

WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Lead to supervise housekeeping activities and maintain clean, orderly areas within the hospital.

The role requires one year of housekeeping experience and typically a 40-hour work week in a non-exempt position. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Training will cover cleaning techniques, supplies handling, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitors housekeeping activities in assigned area(s) to ensure proper cleaning, servicing and stocking of supplies, the completion of work schedules and supervisory instructions; reporting problems as necessary.
• Performs housekeeping duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming and trash removal.
• Ensures all supplies, materials and equipment are available in assigned work area for proper performance of duties; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Reports need for repair to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
• Assists in training employees in proper cleaning techniques and use of supplies, materials and equipment.
