Job summary

Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, WA is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member. The role involves cleaning casino areas, restrooms and public spaces while complying with safety standards and delivering guest‑service excellence.

This full‑time position offers a starting wage of $17.77 per hour with discretionary bonuses twice a year, meals provided, parking covered, and company‑paid gaming licenses.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/custodial operations including offices, kitchens, general grounds cleaning, and hospitality spaces.
• Entry-level training provided for candidates who demonstrate passion for guest service and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to read, write and follow safety labels and directions, and apply health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary guest service and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Clean assigned areas as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean tile, vinyl and carpeted floors as directed.
• Pick up and remove trash and recyclables from the building.
• Empty and clean ashtrays; clean and stock restrooms.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely as directed.
• Foster a positive and safe work environment and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

1. Exemplifies MCR’s values and sets a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
2. Clean assigned areas as delegated by Housekeeping Supervisor.
3. Clean tile, vinyl and carpeted floors in the Casino as directed.
4. Pick-up and remove trash and recyclable materials from the building.
5. Empty and clean ashtrays; clean and stock restroom facilities.
6. Operate housekeeping equipment, vacuums etc. as directed.
7. Creates, maintains, and facilitates a positive and safe work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Verifiable experience in janitorial/custodial operations to include office spaces, kitchen spaces, general grounds cleaning, entertainment, and hospitality services preferred.
• Entry-level training provided for candidates who demonstrate passion for guest service; motivation to learn; and a professional demeanor.

How You’ll Be Successful

• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to comprehend labels and item directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to utilize health & safety standards and apply safety regulations, as required.

What To Expect

• Availability – Ability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
• Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
• Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
