Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Environmental Services Floor Technician to keep patient areas clean, safe, and welcoming. The role emphasizes floor and carpet maintenance, waste handling, and daily cleaning tasks performed by a dedicated EVS team.

You will work a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation, contributing to a Magnet Hospital environment known for nursing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the appearance of the facility.
• Clean assigned areas daily.
• Maintain hard floor surfaces by stripping, refinishing, mopping, buffing and auto-scrubbing.
• Maintain carpets with shampoo, extraction, gum removal and daily maintenance.
• Complete waste stream removal, general waste, recycling, infectious waste, etc.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/General Education Development (GED)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.
• Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Light work – Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required,

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $16.50

Maximum hourly: $20.25
