Job summary

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, Vermont is seeking an Environmental Services/Facilities Technician to join our team. The role involves cleaning, maintenance, and basic security functions to keep hospital areas safe and pleasant for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include completing tasks from discharge checklists, disinfecting and restocking rooms and common areas, and operating floor cleaning equipment to maintain clean, sanitary facilities throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years’ experience in maintenance of carpets and hard surface flooring.
• Cleaning experience in an institutional/healthcare setting valued (not required).

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned duties as outlined in the task sheets and discharge checklist.
• Clean, dust, polish, disinfect, restock and empty trash in rooms, hallways and bathrooms.
• Operate mechanical floor cleaner, vacuum to maintain floors throughout the hospital.

About this position

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital’s Environmental Services Team is looking for a detail oriented Facilities Technician. This is a great opportunity to join the NVRH team and grow a healthcare career. Facilities Technicians perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain the corridors, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Responsibilities will also include security functions and a limited set of maintenance functions.
